My name is Lorna Ivette López Cardona De Rivera, but you can call me Lorna 😉.

 

I am a Bay Area-based mixed methods researcher working to deeply understand stakeholder attitudes and behaviors. 

Ensuring organizational strategy is appropriately targeted, on track, and culturally relevant is my specialty.

Mixed Methods Case Study

I study the behaviors and motivations of XSEDE users participating in online and in-person training programs.
 
We tailor training content to user needs and continually achieve 
significant increases in training participation through data-driven insights.

Program Evaluation Case Study

I evaluate an international summer school that aims to diversify the 
research computing workforce. 
To reduce selection bias, I developed a new application and review process that immediately increased female participation by 30% and US Black and Latinx participation by 33%.

Organizational Strategy Case Study

I help guide strategy for a distributed organization with National Science Foundation (NSF) funding totaling over $235 million [12].
